As most of the vehicle brands these days are making efforts to launch their electric cars, Ford has also come up with Explorer EV to meet consumer requirements. However, this vehicle is far different than the US-Spec Explorer or the other plug-in hybrid models that are widely sold in the European market.

Explorer CV is specially designed to serve the European market with the latest MEB architecture from the Volkswagen group. As per European standards, it follows a two-row type mid-size crossover mechanism. Moreover, it is the first version of an all-electric passenger car developed by Blue Oval in Europe. The manufacturing of this vehicle series is completed in Cologne, Germany based new plan, Ford.

The overall length of this vehicle is 4.5 meters or 177.1 inches which makes it slightly shorter in comparison to Volkswagen ID.4. This five-seated vehicle is expected to be sold under the price range of €45,000 this year. Therefore, people are likely to find this luxury car more luxurious than its other competitor Mustang Mach-E with a price tag of €62,900 in Europe. Buyers can look up to two luxury versions of this vehicle Explorer and Explorer Premium.

In order to design this super comfortable and luxurious vehicle, Ford utilized German engineering technologies. Furthermore, it looks more rugged in comparison to ID.4 with the powerful stance, boxier body, and straight finish. The additional design elements of this vehicle include signature headlights, a U-shaped skid plate, a slim-line rear window, vertical taillights, and a lower U-shaped element.

A few other details that are worth mentioning about this vehicle include alloy wheel designs with aero optimization, and unique C and A-pillars. Buyers can also have plenty of body color options for purchase including Lucid Red, Magnetic Grey, Frozen White, and Agate Black. The standard styling and comfort features of this vehicle further include dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, all-new front seats having integrated headrests, Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto play, and 10 colors ambient lighting arrangement.

Considering the practical standpoint, this latest vehicle from Ford comes with a 17-liter MegaConsole below the armrest and you will also be able to access the forward-angled compartment to store two big smartphones. The luggage space and legroom are also worth your needs.

The manufacturers state that this Explorer EV unit provides refined and responsive service with all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive technology. The vehicle also has pre-conditioning options for the battery temperature to ensure easy scheduling of charging. The optimized charge speeds and onboard trip planning with Sync Move Interface further make your ride experience truly reliable. Ford teams state that Explorer customers will be able to find more than 450,000 chargers in different parts of Europe this year; however, this count may reach somewhere around 500,000 by the end of 2024.

Although no range estimates are provided for this vehicle till now, the manufacturers state that this all-electric vehicle will be launched with a heat pump that can improve overall energy efficiency by a considerable level. This Explorer EV vehicle is one of the nine different electric vehicles expected to be a part of the European market by 2024.
