Mitsubishi i-MIEV SportThe Mitsubishi i-MIEV Sport is an all electric car concept recently rolled out at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Mitsubishi i-MIEV Sport uses three electric motors, two of which are inside the front wheels and one motor supplies torque to the rear wheels.

With a combined 430 Nm of torque, the Mitsubishi i-MIEV Sport has a top end of around 110 mph. The electric concept car also uses an Electric Active Yaw Control (E-AYC) system to stabilize power to the rear wheels.

But, some of the most exciting aspects of the Mitsubishi i-MIEV Sport are its environmental features. For instance, the Mitsubishi i-MIEV Sport uses its fan inside the front grille to generate power. There is also a photovoltaic panel upon the roof.

Green materials are used wherever possible in the manufacturing process for the interior of the car. And, like most hybrid vehicles, the Mitsubishi i-MIEV Sport uses regenerative braking to recharge the batteries.

Another exciting use of technology on the Mitsubishi i-MIEV Sport is that uses a wireless recharging system. The microwave charger sits below the lithium ion batteries and can recharge them to 80-percent capacity in as little as 30 – 40 minutes.
